Conversation 13:

The gospel is the good news that Jesus is the saving king who died for our sins, was resurrected on the third day, and will return to rule over a restored creation. Discover the beauty of the gospel and the hope it brings to your life.

ABOUT US

WHAT IS OUR MISSION?

Simply stated it is: To turn lost people into sold-out followers of Christ.

We believe that the primary purpose of our existence is to…

  • Bring people into a relationship with Jesus

  • Nurture their total commitment to Jesus

  •  We have come to that conclusion by…

* Looking at the words of Jesus about himself; “For the Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost.”   (Luke 19:10)

* Looking at His life which demonstrated this stated purpose.

* By deciding to obey his final command to us, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations…”   (Matthew 28:19)

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We accept the Bible as the final authority for all matters of faith and practice.

(Isaiah 40:8; Romans 15:4; Hebrews 4:12; II Timothy 3:16)

We believe that man, created by God, willfully sinned and as a result, is lost and without hope apart from Jesus Christ.

(Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23)

We believe that salvation (the forgiveness of sins) comes by grace through the blood of Jesus Christ.

(Matthew 26:28; Romans 5:9; Ephesians 2:8-9; I Peter 1:18-19; I John 1:7)

We believe the Bible teaches that the pattern to receive Christ as Savior is, to believe in Christ as God’s son and Savior of the world, to repent of personal sin, to confess Christ as Lord, and to be immersed in baptism. Each of these is clearly taught in the Word of God.

(Romans 5:1-2; Luke 24:45-47; Acts 3:19, 17:30; II Peter 3:9; Matthew 10:32; Romans  10:9-10; I John 4:15; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:1-7; Galatians 3:27; Colossians 2:12; I Peter 3:21)

We believe that the Church is the body and bride of Christ, founded on the day of Pentecost, consisting of all Christians everywhere.

(Matthew 16:13-18; Acts 2:14-47)

We believe that God has ordained elders to exercise spiritual leadership and authority over the local congregation.

(Acts20:28; I Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9; I Peter 5:1-4)

We believe that death seals the eternal destiny of each person.

When Christ returns, He will formally pronounce the eternal fate of each individual, both living    and dead. The saved will be assigned eternal life, the unsaved, eternal separation from God.

(John 6:39; Romans 8:10-11; 19:23; John 5:29; Daniel 12:2)

CLDI (COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT INC.)
BILLINGS, MT

https://cldibillings.org/

As is the case with many low-income neighborhoods, the South Side of Billings is certainly marked by stigmas that are often associated with “poor neighborhoods.” To an outsider our community is south of the tracks, the part of town you simply want to avoid; blanketed with service organizations such as correctional facilities, half-way houses, drug and rehab facilities, a homeless shelter; the place with the most condensed population of felons; often home of the worst crimes; you name it, it’s probably here. Yet, despite how the South Side may be understood by others, we are a community of great tradition, rich history, proud identity, and yes, community. So is this the heart of CLDI: to leverage that which is good in the community for the transformation and empowerment of persons in South Billings through the person of Jesus Christ.
